I’ve lived in this house almost 4 years now and just today had air conditioning installed.
Why?
Why did I get it installed at all when I live in colorado? It doesn’t get THAT hot.
Or why did I wait almost 4 years to do it?
because I like to keep the world wondering what’s next…
No.
I thought I could beat the heat. Honestly, it’s only horribly hot maybe 2 weeks a year. The rest of the time it’s completely tolerable. Get outside with a slight breeze or go in a basement and the temperature is a dandy 80 degrees at most.
I thought wrong. Or maybe I really wasn’t thinking.. which is a confusing concept in itself. Regardless, I was wrong… Very wrong.
It’s amazing how one’s personality can change as a result of their environment. Me, when my environment becomes uncomfortable, I unintentionally make everyone within the world around me uncomfortable. I think its that whole if you can beat ’em, join ’em mentality — backwards.
Why let anyone else miss out? That would be just no fun.
Unfortunately, no one appreciates my attempt at sharing the misery. So, today I made a change for the better.
The world will be a better place indeed. For (at most, remember) 2 weeks a year, there might just be a little more love and a lot less sweat — and for that, we should all appreciate the air conditioning.
Chill I say.. just sit back and chill.

Air conditioning makes life in the upper midwest tolerable. I’d have melted a long time ago if it weren’t for the office-strength central air that’s dribbling down from the ceiling on me right now.
I tried to make my own blog post on it mildly educational: http://irrationaldesigns.blogspot.com/

The penguin is absolutely adorable! He would be way too hot outside down here in Houston right now so he would have serious trouble chillin outside … but he would be nice & cool inside and feel right at home chillin inside the buildings!
Do you get mad at yourself for forgetting tiny little details like making sure a little green lite is on instead of off?
