The Dentist

Tuesday’s topic this week is The Dentist… why? Because that is where I will be when most are just beginning their day. I decided instead of cringing or whining or generally grumping about, I’d try to find some happiness in the whole concept. I like dentists. They’re lovely folk to chat with. I just prefer not to visit a dentist. The older I get and the more children I have, the crummier my teeth become. This results in both non-enjoyable and pricey visits to the dentist. I’m sure he loves me… I’m increasing his retirement fund.

But dispite my lack of excitement, I do have one grin to share…

  1. I love your hockey design – it always makes me grin – I love hockey and it is so true to life – hockey players lose a lot of teeth it seems … perhaps it is all those hockey sticks & pucks to the teeth area LOL …. but I LOVE to watch them ice skate -they are so totally amazing! Ice skating is not as easy as it looks – I know – I tried and tried to get better but as a kid in Iowa who ice skated every winter – I was clumsy and unbalanced but I tried so hard – daily – if all it took to be an Olympic skater or ice hockey champion was to try for countless hours and hours … I would have been there – my dream was to be a professional ice skater … alas … I never could even manage to do figure eights … thankfully I never broke anything with all the falls … I remember being there from sun-up til long after sundown practicing my ice skating …. I was a dismal failure … but I believed that if I kept trying and didn’t give up that sooner or later some magic would happen and I would skate like those girls on the magicakal mystery box known as television that was awe-inspiring in black & white and giant tubes in big boxes and talking pictures …. now I have a big TV screen tiny box area with teeny tiny wiring.

Hope your trip to the dentist was over quickly and painlessly 🙂 and that you now have an even brighter grin than before.

I am late this week … but better late than never – I am having trouble finding things online since my computer died and I got a new one – I spent Tuesday nite looking for something I couldn’t find in the apt (I am still not all unpacked – no bookcases or what-not shelves) and then on Wednesday nite, I spent all evening trying to find the IK tool so I could use a darling IK picture of girls brushing their teeth for my dental ambling 🙂
