This year part of me is dreading Thanksgiving … because of losing the family dog … but part of me is looking forward to spending time with my daughter & grandson … and we’ve already planned for the annual Day After Thanksgiving Shopping that my daughter LOVES.

Awesome Thanksgiving Penguin designs! I love them! The Pilgrim penguins on framed tiles would make a great addition to a Thanksgiving centerpiece floral arrangement. The So Glad I’m Not A Turkey penguin design would be great on a black t-shirt to wear for Thanksgiving dinner too!

Thanksgiving to me is a time to be “Thankful” for what I have. Knowing that others have made this possible. I am thankful for the freedom I have, the right to say what I want when I want, I am thankful for being able to make choices. Many people are not even able to vote for their own leader. I can, so I am thankful for that. I am thankful for the variety America has. I love to be able to shop at all the different grocery stores. Yes, they are competition to each other but that is what America is all about. I have a choice. I am thankful for it. We are not bound down to buy the government cheese like some other countries. So in essence I am thankful to the American Troops. They have provided us with these freedoms. We would not have any choice, rights or happiness without them. They have fought many a war for us and deserve our thanks too. So most of all I am thankful for having them. Our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines. So this year at my thanksgiving table we will give thanks and say a prayer for our Military. They sacrifice all for us.

This year my wife decided to have a dry run thanksgiving day to test out her recipes. We soaked the bird in a brine solution she got at William Sonoma it really kept it moist. OMG, the turkey was so good and I get to do it again in a few days!
