Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.
I will be bringing The Penguin along this fabulous journey and blogging as I go. He's traveled everywhere else with me, this is absolutely no exception!
We are both so excited to be apart of this fantastic event and look forward to sharing our pink ribbon adventures with you all!

I've slowly been contacting friends, family and colleagues to let everyone know I am involved in this event and I would greatly appreciate their support. A number of people have already started supporting my efforts, and I'm so very thankful!
I was really nervous asking at first, but I'm so glad I did. The more people that get involved and show their support, the more exciting this all becomes for me.
I've also started creating a special limited edition of handmade pink ribbon penguins I will be selling to raise more funds for the cause along with various other fabulously fun pink items. More penguin happiness coming soon!
Thank you so much for all the generosity and encouragement!

Got myself a new pair of walking shoes last week and headed to the gym for the first time in YEARS! I'm off and walking and loving it! I hit the track first, so no idea how far I walked. But day two I was at the tredmils and made it to 3 miles in just over 45 minutes. PLUS I was able to listened to my audio book, so my book club ladies will now be happy that I can add to the discussion this week. This journey is already becoming a fantastic addition to my life.

For two years now I've sponsored walkers and teams so I thought it was time I finally get out there and walk. I'm so excited to get involved at this level this year! I am walking with a great team of people - it will be such a fantastic experience!
Now to get organized and get the training going!
